Our society is heading toward one person having control. No one will have the control or be able to do whatever they want. We will be ran into the ground with no authority over anything.

I agree not only one person but the entire government. I feel that in the future the government is going to have full control over everyone and there will be nothing we can do about it.

I agree, The government is eventually going to be a one person ruled thing. Everyone will be watched with no privacy or anything.

I agree that you can never make a Utopian society. Even if 99% of people agree with the idea there is always that 1% that will end up messing up the idea.

People will always have their own opinions and no matter how hard you try to change their minds, most likely it would not work. People are very difficult to persuade because they think that they are right even when their wrong.

I agree our society will not know what to do. We will have less freedom, and have to follow strict rules. Like in "The Giver" when they have to follow the rule: precision of language.

Yes it is possible to learn something about yourself by believing in a conspiracy. If you believe that it is really happening you won't know what is real and what is not. She wished that she would not fear anymore so V granted her wish. No it was not alright for what he did but it did help Evey, but it helped her not fear.

I believe that it did help Evey, but there could have been so many other ways to show her not to fear. You should never torture someone because you want them to learn a lesson. Parents torture their children because they want them to learn a lesson. Does it make it right?

I don't really think we have given up any freedoms. I believe that we fight for our freedoms more than ever now. I don't think giving up these freedoms will make you feel safer. You won't know what to expect next, you are practically nothing without your personal freedoms.

We haven't sacrificed any freedoms because we aren't willing to. Our personal freedoms are important to us so we have to defend them from those who wish to take them away. That's why I think we haven't lost any freedoms, because we weren't willing to give them up.

I agree once we loose our freedoms we will not be the same. It will make us almost like a robot. Especially if it were like the movie "The Giver" when you get an assigned job, and you have to do good things and be a good person.

I don't believe there could be a Utopian society. On paper it sounds like a good idea but you can't make anything perfect, and people will always envy other peoples belongings or lives. There is just no way to actually make that work.

1. I think both the movies (V For Vendetta and The Giver) are sort of showing the society that in the future things will be a-lot different. Technology will have dramatically increased, and there will be more government power than today. We citizens won't have as much freedom as we do today.

I do not think that it would have made a big difference if Evey joined or didn't join the rebellion. V probably would not have died in the first place because Evey wouldn't have fallen in love with him. V would have just planned the rebellion just as he had planned, and it would have just ended fine. But now that V was dead because of Evey, now Evey had to take over. If Evey didn't not join it probably would have ended the same way with the bomb.

1. The message they are sending, I believe they are trying to tell us that the world is going to be chaotic and will be controlled by nothing but the government. In V for Vendetta it shows that it is just ran off of the governor and nothing else. The people don't even get a chance to speak their opinions on how things are done.

1.Both movies take place in the future and have the underlying message that too much government is a bad idea.V for Vendetta specifically shows that a large government will want too much control over the general population and eventually become a totalitarian state,The giver reveals that striving too far for perfection can lead to dangerous consequences and can ultimately lead to a total loss of individuality.
